LIGHT TESTINGS - BLUECHER STR. 33
During the tough years of the 2020-2021 Covid pandemic, I felt profoundly alone. Living in a fifth-floor apartment across from a closed school, I experienced an eerie solitude with no neighbours or schoolchildren in sight. Although I moved into this apartment in 2018 and stayed until the end of 2021, most of my photos were taken during the pandemic as I spent hours looking out the window for any signs of life.
The project "Light testings - Blucher str.33" features 135 photos taken from my kitchen window at Bluecherstr. 33, the address of my old apartment. These images capture everything my eyes saw, extending into infinity. Some were taken at night as I sat alone, smoking and playing with my lighter under the dark Berlin sky.
